Which laptop model works without any issues, which EFI version?
I want to buy something and encrypt the EFI bootloader. So it does not boot without entering the passphrase.

I tried to do that on a MSI Titan GT80 and had issues.

What about MSI laptops, MSI Titan GT80? It's a UEFI machine, disks are in the GPT format.

I have Dell Latitude 3340 in the UEFI mode, will that work? For bootloader encryption?

"Encrypt whole drive" option is grayed out. Both on Dell 3340 and MSI GT80. What is the point of even having that option if I can't encrypt the bootloader?

    Bonjour,

    Hello,
On any PC in UEFI GPT two partitions should not be encrypted: the EFI partition (UEFI must read it at startup, moreover all Windows PCs have the same files in this partition) the MSR partition (16 MB reserved by Windows), to date it is empty and unformatted So it's normal that the option is grayed out can only be encrypted system partition C: and data partitions set in system favorites.
    Have a nice day

    Basically it cannot be done.
