I have a 4790k with the MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition mobo and a samsung 850 evo ssd, if i install my OS on this pc in legacy mode the standard VeraCrypt BIOS bootloader installs fine and can decrypt my harddrive after i encrypt the system, however if the OS is installed in EFI mode and i try to encrypt it, the initial test goes fine, it displays the password prompt and encrypt the system partition just fine, however once it's done i end up with an unbootable system, the Vera Crypt UEFI bootloader does not get initiated on any subsequent bootups and when i go into my EFI boot settings there is no entery for it, it's like it isn't installed or the instalation is corrupted, since i have three options to pick from, Windows Boot Manager, Disable and a blank slot, the blank slot is what i suppose should be Vera Crypt UEFI bootloader but it's blank, i can pick this option but it does nothing when i try to boot after selecting it, it doesn't start the Vera Crypt UEFI bootloader, and if i go back to the settings the option that was set to the blank slot is now set to disabled.
I can provide screenshoots of the BIOS EFI selector with the empty selectable entry if you need me to, note i don't currently have the issue present, i don't tend to keep my pc in an unbootable state for longer than needed :) but initiationg the test is enough to get the blank entry. The same issue is present on both Windows 7 and Windows 10. It also persisted through a few of both bios and VeraCrypt updates.
