Hi, I have run into what seems a bizarre situation. I have used Veracrypt for a long time without an issue, but today suddenly it won't work. I have multiple volumes and none of them will mount. I have tried on a second computer to no avail. I have also tried to mount volumes stored on a different drive and that didn't work either. I get the following error:
Operation failed due to one or more of the following:
Incorrect password
Incorrect Volume PIM number
Incorrect PRF (hash)
Not a valid volume
Source: MountVolume:9170
It's not the computer or the OS because I tried two different ones. It's not that the volume is corrupted because we're talking about 4 different volumes, some of which are stored on a different drive. I'm using the most recent version of Veracrypt, 1.25.9 so it's not that the software is outdated.
So what could that possibly leave as the cause? This issue came out of nowhere. I didn't run any updates or make any changes anywhere, so I'm baffled.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
I appreciate the suggestion, but my password is shorter than 64 characters. I was able to get Veracrypt to mount the files by checking the box that says Truecrypt Mode. Any idea why that would be?

See the post below if you were running an older version and then upgraded VeraCrypt.

Did you create the volumes in question using the TrueCrypt or VeraCrypt software?
I definitely made them with Veracrypt.
Are these volumes file containers?
If yes, did you use the TrueCrypt file extension ".tc"?
