Hi there,

I've got an older truecrypt file/folder that contains a hidden/nested volume.
I don't know what happened but one day I wasn't able to get into the hidden volume anymore, I still know the password.

I came across the harddisk and wanted to try again, I can access the outer volume with veracrypt - can anyone tell me or point me to steps that I could try to access the inner volume?

You can try "use backup header" in options. (the header is at the end of the volume. Main header is [0,255] sectors)

Note: hidden volume keys sector is 128. if you have copy you can try to restore.
