Sometimes I'm sure I mistyped the password and have to wait 30 seconds till verarypt finds out itselfs. It would be nice to have to possibility to cancel the please wait window displayed while mounting.

That link doesn't work (anymore). The codeplex page says the project has moved to veracrypt.fr yet going there provides no page showing bugs or issues, and going to the forum points here where Enigma2Illusion says to go CodePlex. At Codeplex, there are links to Issues and Discussions pages but those have no number, like 23, and there is no search function.
So I'll reiterate here that an Esc button is really needed in that dialog to abort trying to decrypt the container. I know that I entered the wrong password but end up having to wait until the program figures it out.
Close to 3 years later and the request has not yet materialized.
