The future for many linux distributions is atomic/immutable desktops. One such desktop is Bazzite (based on Fedora).
I tried installing Veracrypt in Bazzite but I came across issues having to do with lack of ability to mount a volume. I think this is due to the immutable nature of Bazzite. I had no such problems creating and mounting a volume on Fedora 41 KDE.
I would highly recommend releasing and maintaining a Flatpak version (including testing it with immutable distros). Releasing it as a "verified" app on flathub.org would be ideal. Cheers!
