The import user button was grayed out. I had users from a previous STD installation, it did not prompt of importing any, and since the button was grayed out I could not manually import. Also noticed that the installed user section seems to show only the upper half. As far down as the top half of the import user button could be seen. Clicking on the icon box to select a user icon, that looked well, but when I finally got to KDM, nobody had any icons. I was able to put user icons using KDE's system configuration, though. The user icons, by default, are turned on in the kdmconfig, I did not see if it the icon path was set though.
