    HI.. thanks for oportunity need to know if anyone knows how to run Q&A for windows "qawin" to be exact ..

    vDos runs DOS programs. Q&A for Windows is a Windows program, not a DOS program. You might want to ask about it in the DOSBox forum at vogons.org

    Thanks Edward .. I appreciated ... if you don't mind I want to ask you one more question ?
    I run vDos and did the changes in the .txt file .. but when I want to do some changes or exit hung ...
    the screen appear and stays frozen... do you know how to fix this problem??? thanks I have 2 Q&A in Dos and Windows... thanks in advnace...

    Something may be wrong with your vDos configuration. Possibly we can help if you spell out exactly (and I mean exactly and in full details) what you mean by "to do some changes" and exactly how you start Q&A. But it's also possible that Q&A's way of working with the keyboard requires that you use vDosPlus instead of vDos. You can find it at www.vdosplus.org and there is a support forum for it on SourceForge.

    Edward thanks .. OK I post the direction I put in the autoexec.file Here goes

    use c: c:\QA
    c:
    QA1.exe
    EXIT
    Thats what I have..

    What are your thoughts ???

    Changes mean I go into database like this:
    First I went into Utilities ->SetGlobal Options->Q&A Document files: c:\QAdata\ (set this way) then

    Q&A Database files: c:\QAdata\Clients.dtf ...enter and freezed with a logo of the software and I shot it down with TaskManager force to close

    I should probably leave this question for Jos. I remember earlier questions about Q&A, but I don't remember how they got resolved. Also, you're certain that you're talking about Q&A for DOS, not Windows?

    Hi.. thanks again ... Yes I got Q&A for DOS work in both in vDOS and I donwload and install also vDOSPLUS copy the autoexec file as above and freezed again when change the database and the logo appear ... Jos will come here to help me?? .. or I need to put this in another section

      Q&A is reported to work w/o problems in vDos.

      In Windows you have a C:\QA directory, in that QADATA.

      As you can read in the first lines of Utilities:

      Type the Drive and, optionally, the Path where the following
kinds of files will be stored.  This will save you extra typing
because Q&A will always know where to look first for these files:

      You have to supply the paths where Q&A expects the Document, Database and Temporary files. NOT the database you want to open. That’s done at another location.

      Nothing wrong with your autoexec.txt file.

      Though if you don’t know how to operate Q&A, you’ll have to search for some documentation on the Internet.

    OK.. but still freezed when I logoff or close the application .. It is something in the vDOS or my not work with windows 7 Pro 64bit .. Just for your information

      It now freezes when you select X - Exit Q&A?

      Again, what version of Q&A do you use (https://sourceforge.net/p/vdos/discussion/general/thread/81fee521/#4dbd/c41a). How did you come to that, it is a new (DOS!) installation, or copied from a working situation on another PC?

    No I just download from vDOS site.. and installed in this PC, not old one I guess I will uninstalled and get it from here.

      To my knowledge, there are no problems with vDos - Q&A version 4.

      If Q&A is still running on the old PC, copy the program files and data from there to the new PC.

    Hi Jos ... my client give me a email from you vdos.info related to the picture I post it here... sorry I didn't know It will cause problems so I removed.. Yes is my client and working to resolved his issue with Q&A..
    very nice of your system to generate such email... thanks for concern ... is greatly appreciated...
