Hi Mario Hi folks I am using VDK 2.4.1 and all is ok but I want to use also gtkglare just as I used to do it in the version 1.2.7 I know that there were a lot of changues but I used to use gtlglarea with no problems well my question is if there is a guide for wrapping gtk windgets, if this is supported yet or does anybody know if I can only "put" (or something like that) the gtkglarea widget into a frame, just as I did it before? Hi all, I made a list of functional requirements for VDKBuilder3, this is a first version and not very detailed, its purpose is to get some reactions on it. The list is in random order: 0. vdkb3 is primarily a RAD tool for the VDK library and also based on it. This was the original intention and it stays that way. 1. vdkb3 will be multi platform, multilingual and run on *nix/win32. 2. vdkb3 consists out of modules. Because of the module design developers can write their own modules for a particular task, for instance a form designer and project wizard plugin for a diferent toolkit. I defined the folowing modules: * base module wich consists of a project manager, editor and a build tool (vdkb3 executable). Wich build tool should vdkb3 use? At the moment I use SConstruct, it is much faster than autoconf/automake, is multi platform and easy to understand (python based). * a form designer and code generator module (plugin). The form designer will be like glade3 (or maybe using it), widget descriptions and output are in xml. * project/class wizard module (plugin). Is there a need for workspaces wich consists of several projects? (like kdevelop/visual studio etc) * integrated debugger module (plugin). This will be after the first release. * cvs integration module (plugin). This will be after the first release. 3. the user interface for vdkb3: * vdk3 consits of docable windows for the projectmanager and the build tool (you can see this in the version of vdkb Mario released on the web site). * any comments wishes for the user interface? Our starting point for vdkb3 is the code I got from Mario (his release of vdkbuilder3-1.0.0 last month). I didn't thought about a win32 version so it is good you pointed me on that. As far I can see vdkb3 is a complete rewrite, so if we keep in mind it has to be multi platform from the beginning the *nix and win32 no port is needed. I think the vdkb2 version stays as it is, only keeping it up to date with vdk releases. Gertwin |

Hi all, I'm sorry but for several reasons: family, work and perhaps age i cannot continue to dedicate my time to further develop VDKBuilder... Since i know that VDKBuilder is a good project i would like see it be continued by someone that keep it on his good hands. However i will continue to develop and support VDK libraries. If someone wants keep the project on his hands just post me privatly at: ma...@ma... and we can arrange all necessary things to change the leadership at SourceForge.
