I think I've found an error in the VDK documentation in the PostScript and the HTML version. It's about VDKApplication. According documentation, VDKApplication contains a method called ScreenSize() : Quote: ----- * VDKPoint ScreenSize(); Returns screen size in pixels ----- When when I try to access ScreenSize(), the compiler gives an error message about ScreenSize undeclared or something. When I try to find a substring "ScreenSize" with grep, nothing was found. I looked in application.h, but ScreenSize isn't declared. Is this a bug in the docs or the library? |

You have to make some hacking on lower level gtk widget that is more flexible. Here the code that makes what you wants at runtime, i made a button to manage an already constructed VDKSlider: // signal response method // more info in gtk/gtkscale.h and gtk/gtkadjustment.h bool SliderForm::Onbutton0Click(VDKObject* sender) { // getting actual value float value = slider0->Value; // accessing to underlying gtkadjustment // embedded into a gtkscale widget GtkWidget* widget = slider0->WrappedWidget(); GtkRange* range = &(GTK_SCALE(widget)->range); GtkAdjustment* adj = gtk_range_get_adjustment(range); // setting lower-upper bounds adj->lower = value - 10; adj->upper = value + 10; // setting position at runtime gtk_adjustment_set_value(adj,value+0.5); // setting step increment adj->step_increment = value/20; // setting precision slider0->Digits = 4; return true; } hope this helps. /mario -- Mario Motta AI Research Group - Rimini - Italy http://www.programmers.net/artic/Motta/vdk |

Something like this: char *s[] = { "one","two","three","four",0 } ; void YourForm::Setup() { //... StringList list; for(t = 0;s[t];t++) list.add(VDKString(s[t])); combobox0->PopdownStrings = list; //... } hope this helps. A vdk reference reading is also recommended. regards /mario -- Mario Motta AI Research Group - Rimini - Italy http://www.programmers.net/artic/Motta/vdk |

After reading through the tutorial I'm still confused about where to put the list of items used in a combo box. Do I have to do that within the code or is there a way to enter it in the VDKB program? If not, is there a plan to include that feature? mo...@us... |

Will be fixed in next version. Furthermore you have to hit Enter key into "Lower" and "Upper" fields in order to get them set. A possible workaround is to set some of these properties programmatically during form setup. -- Mario Motta AI Research Group - Rimini - Italy http://www.programmers.net/artic/Motta/vdk |

VDK Team, I am a vdkbuilder user and I had troubles using the sliderbar. I try to change its properties (minimal value, maximal value, default positon, # digits and step value) but the slidebar stay always with the initial configuration (0,20,0,1,0.1 respectively) after compilation. I would like to know if this is a vdkbuilder bug or what I am doing wrong. Thanks by the attention, ---------------------------- Leandro Farias Estrozi lfe...@if...
