I think you a referring to cropping dialog. I made it appear as crop filter which you can select from filters list, but afaik there was no old crop filter before. It is still not a filter technically and cannot be moved to a plugin, sorry.
If you tell me what you dont like about the new GUI maybe I can fix it?
Old cropping dialog was too specialized and lacked many features normal preview had.
Some important changes so you can pinpoint the problem:
Same preview window as normal filter (with zoom, panning, magnifier). Yes you can use magnifier to crop on exact pixel. Old way it was impossible to crop large sizes and aspect ratio was most often wrong.
Separate window with numeric inputs, same as normal filter. This gives consistent experience with filters and proper layout for adding more controls. Old way had input fields scattered to opposite screen edges.

I missing old cropping dialog or similar, so i can se much i need to crop.
Maybe you have a idea to an additional cropping dialog.
You dont have preview window?
It should be like this, one window "Filter input cropping" and other window "Filter preview".

Yes i have a preview window.
But your cropping dialog has not the sliders i allways have used for years.
With your cropping dialog i have to guess how much the start crop would be after that i need to adjust it.
