[Vcftools-help] (no subject)

Hi,


Ok right, I'm an undegrad from the UK with no previous bioinformatics experience. I'm wondering if anyone will help me, my supervisor has just told me to get to grips with VCFtools and VCFfiles using Bio-linux. I'm keen to learn but I literally don't know where to start. Could anyone give me a step by step on how to install it? I've downloaded VCFtools and thats just about how far I've got. I haven't been given any real data yet but I want to try and 'play around' and get to grips with it. 

Can anyone help?
