Vadim: the problem was indeed a black screen, and it is fixed by changing 
the video adapter. Obviously there was a significant change in the Linux 
kernel, upgrading from 5.10.0-25-amd64 to 6.1.0-11-amd64.

In passing, a problem I have complained about for several years has also 
been fixed; the Guest Additions are started much more quickly, and there 
is no longer an erroneous message about recompiling the kernel modules.
