Installed /OSX-Wx/visualboyadvance-m.zip on my MacBook (10.12.1)
Loaded a Pokemon Fire Red Rom and none of the controls work (Get a "bong" sound whenever z/x/a/s/backspace/return is pressed). Tried Pokemon Emerald Rom as well but encountered the same issue.
"Options>Input>Joypad Configuration" works and they respond as I change them but still no effect when I try to play the game.
I'm trying to fix this now, it may be complicated.
In the meantime, using a joystick works fine, e.g. an xbox 360 controller with the mac driver.
We just uploaded a binary that fixes this!
Huh, I'm having the same problem it seems, but I'm running the gtk+ version of vba-m (vbam-gtk-2.0.0b2-2) on Arch Linux. Configuring the Joypad seems to work, but key presses don't seem to register in the game itself (Pokemon Crystal in my case)
We are going to drop GTK soon, compile the Wx version, that is the default option when you run cmake with no flags.
Was just told to mention that arch has a package for the Wx build, it's called vbam-wx .
