Anyway, I quite liked C++ in past better than Java and I hope it's not a mistake.. If C++ project has some rigoruous coding standards and coding practices specified upfront (how to do things, what not to do, which subset of features we use etc.) it makes C++ a bit nicer. (LLVM is the example on top of my head).
