hi, maybe somebody is still listening and can give me a piece of advice. ;) i have a cyclades terminal server which i want to use under vacm. i assume the sercon module is the right thing for that. the problem i have cuurently is configuring the cyclades correctly so that it provides access to my machines. in my understanding it should be like all other terminalservers, so that if i do "telnet my_terminalserver port" (where port is a number dependended on the brand of tserver and the serial port) i get to the serial console of the device which is hooked up. so far so good, but i can't get it to work. as a first try i just don't use vacm, i see that the cyclades i listening on the ports i configured. but if i telnet to a port like mentioned above, i get: Entering character Mode Escape character is ^] Connection closed by foreign host. the cables/connectors are the same as for the rocketport ports. pslave.conf has "all.authtype none", "all.protocol socket_server". i don't use radius authentication. i know the problem is a little bit off topic, but i'd appreciate any help. maybe somebody has done this before and can tell me what the pslave.conf file should be like. afair VALinux was about to sell this a turnkey solution, so somebody might still know how this is going to fly ;-) thx, ~dirkw |
