compiled from cvs 28/2/99. only nvidia is enabled. linux kernel is 2.2.14 and no patch so agp is not used. I use Debian unstable with Xfree svga server 3.3.6. the cpu is amd k6-2.
this happens with the standard glx.conf but even if the nohw switch is set to 1. I have also managed to get locks from quake-gl. also of note - nvidia Xserver, from the latest release, also locks my machine in similar cases.

pulasr and XFree 3.3.6 + glx cvs of 3/3/2000 locks up the xserver, remote access is possible though.

NVidia issue- lowering priority and deferring at least until release. Suggest anyone using the NVidia support in Utah-GLX look into what NVidia's offering in the way of support for XFree86 4.X.
