I am streaming videos from my computer (Ubuntu Gutsy) to my xbox 360. Most of the time there are no problems but it seems like when I stream "too much" my system freezes up. I'm not sure exactly how much this is. I also think it is only when it's a continuous stream. When I watch a lot of shorter videos it doesn't seem to lock but when I stream a longer video and get 10-15 minutes into it my system just crashes (Core 2 Duo, 2 gigs of RAM, plenty of hard drive space, etc....pretty good system). Thanks you for your hard work

I am running Ubuntu Gutsy server edition and I get a similar problem. On several of my media files the stream freezes but the system is OK. I can even go right to another file and it works fine. This happens with long streams.
Any comments?
Yes thank you very much for your work!
I also had a similar problem, but only when streaming through wifi. It seemed to fix itself after upgrading to Hardy Heron 8.04.
