Hi Phill,

Thanks for the report. The implementation relied on Period's String representation. The next release will support any of the built-in types (including with fields removed). They will be included following the period in the form '{' + periodType + '}'. For standard periods, no indication of the type needs to be given. This fix is in Svn.

I'm persisting a Period with a single field PeriodType but when read back from Hibernate is has a PeriodType of 'Standard'.

Period p = new Period().withHours(1).withPeriodType(PeriodType.hours());
p.getPeriodType().equals(PeriodType.hours()); // this is true ... persist and retrieve p.getPeriodType().equals(PeriodType.hours()); // no longer true

Is this the expected behaviour or a bug?
