[uml-user] derive assigned DHCP address of a tap device

After I started an UML instance (configured to get a DHCP address from
the host where dnsmasq acts as a DHCP server) I'd later like to derive
which ip address the appropriate TAP device was assigned too.

Currently I'm at a loss how to do this.

Don't know what you might mean by derive, getting info on the Guest,
Host or DHCP server.

If on the Guest or Host, will any of the following answer your question?

ip addr
ifconfig

no, already tried, but both commands don't show ip addresses of the TAP
device

$ ip addr show tap0
