Did you just draw all that up off the top of your head, or did you already 
have it lying around?

Anyway, that's exactly the sort of thing I've been poking around in ethertap.c 
looking for.

My main concern was whether I have to construct ethernet frames or whether the 
uppoer levels of the kernel are going to make them for me.
