I have successfully compiled a host kernel (2.4.19 with the skas patch) and a uml kernel (2.4.20 with the 2.4.20-3 patch) and I am able to run the Red Hat 7.2-full pristine filesystem from Jeff's site. Everything works, and I can even run it in jail mode (one goal).
I would like to create my own filesystems and tried umlbuilder, but have had no success at all getting a filesystem running (that was before recompiling the host kernel to remove hostfs and module support to be able run in jail mode).
At this point I would like to build my own root_fs from scratch, but cannot find documentation on how this can be done or what the rules are for a root_fs.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
