#46 xterm and port channels hang up

When running 2.4.19-8um I found out that when a console was
connected to an xterm or port and a process starts writing to it fast
and much (e.g. run while true; do ls -la /dev/*; done) it stops after a
while and any further write to the console hangs on write syscall (from
the uml point of view).
