I installed cIOS, USBLoaderGX, games appear on the screen but when started the screen turns black and the game doesn't start. I was playing a game before, switched Wii off, booted up again hours later, and games weren't working anymore. Before that I had same exact issue so I spent 3 hours trying to find a fix by reinstalling usb loader and cIOS, from the wii.guide. I ended up fixing the problem by re-ripping all the games, I want to avoid doing that every time this happens, is there a fix for why the games don't load for no reason? If this ticket is wrong then please tell me where to look for a fix, I have asked on discord servers, looked at videos, forums, but nothing. They all talk about switching usb port when that has nothing to do with it.

I'm seeing the exact same thing. I installed cIOS and USBLoaderGX according to Wii.Guide. I was able to play games successfully.

Then after powering off my Wii and booting it up several hours later, none of the games load anymore. I get a black screen. I've been searching online for clues but nothing so far fixes the issue.

Just an update on this issue. I was able to play my games again after reformatting my usb flash drive to FAT32 again on a Windows machine and copying over the games.

Formatting to FAT32 on a Mac didn't work, as homebrew channel couldn't even see my USBLoaderGX app, let alone see my games. I'm not sure why but it seems Mac formats FAT32 differently than Windows?

This still doesn't explain why all of a sudden USBLoaderGX couldn't load my games, but at least there seems to be a workaround (reformat usb flash drive on Windows and copy games over).

One more update. Using the flash drive was still giving me weird problems including USB LoaderGX sometimes not being able to run at all. I switched to using an external harddrive and everything is working as expected. I've been playing games off of my external harddrive for 5 days now without any issues.

So I guess the conclusion is to use external harddrives instead of flash drives.
