I've good news for you. Windows 64-bit support is coming in the next release! I've developed it using linux+wine only, so the next release will be a beta version to see how it works under real windows systems. When our release manager finds some free time he will roll out the new version.

Awesome news! I'll be more than happy to betatest this - I've got some pretty heavy .dlls that would be a good test for this, I'm sure. I've got access to most Windows versions to test the result on, as well (including more exotic ones like XP x64)
Let me know if you want me to specifically betatest certain things.

Thanks for your offer, I'll be very interested in success/failure reports on those systems. Hopefully the beta version will be released in the coming days.

Just to send feedback: x64 binary of a mozilla-based browser successfully packed with UPX 3.91, nothing untoward to report. This includes complex interaction between the main browser .exe, a monolithic XUL dll, a separate javascript library and plugin container hooking into it, with third-party x64 plugin dlls all properly functioning. All .exe and .dll files were packed with UPX without issue.

I have exe which is nearly 7,5 MB ( stripped ) compiled with Mingw64.
Unfortunately noone has the time / motivation to implement this.

I've suggested this to a friend who is interested in adding win64 exe/dll support. We'll see how things play out....
Any news? Somebody interested or working on that feature?

Certainly a desired feature!

Any update on this? The beta channel hasn't seen any activity so far and we're a week+ down the road.
According to this:

the release can happen today. I hope Markus finds some free time for it.

FYI, UPX 3.91 is finally released.

Thanks for your report. I'm glad it works fine.
