I finally managed to upload the uptime app which sits in your system tray (see screenshot section for an example). Click on it to show your uptime in a temporary balloon tip.

using the obvious tickcount ;)

I put a small CLI program in CVS which does the same as the .NET program, but is written in Win32. Interesting for performance comparison ;)
