This time user interface was not my primary concern (although you'll find some improvements in this area, too). Instead, I tried to focus on gameplay.
In previous versions feeding the hero was very easy. You could eat a corpse of almost any killed monster. Now corpses are inedible, but they can be transformed into pieces of meat (if you possess an appropriate skill and item(s)). Additionally you can cook the meat, so that it is more nutritious.
Item handling is more complete now. There's a new window (opened from the Inventory window) that displays more details about an item. This should help players to understand Fame's item system better. An interesting thing is that it will also help players with color blindness, as cursed and blessed items were so far distinguishable only by color (red and green!).
This version features more artifacts. They are not too hard to find or obtain (yet), so you should be able to get all 9 of them (version 0.8.5 featured only 2 artifacts). I'm not counting the Crystal Skull, of course.
Saved games from 0.8.4 and 0.8.5 are still compatible with 0.8.6.
