Another month has passed and another version of Fame is here!
First of all, there will be no more daylight in the dungeons. You will have to carry a torch to see anything more than your own nose. The same applies to the outside world. It's dark from 20:00 (8 p.m. in some countries - I will probably never understand the advantages of the 12-hour system, it's just stupid) until 6:00 in the morning. You will also observe some kind of "fog of war" - that is, monsters that are outside of your Field of View will be, well, invisible to you. You will not be able to see items out of your FOV, either, but you will remember some items' placement unless you wander to another location.
Equipment sets have been introduced. Now you can define up to 4 sets (a set can consist of a sword and a shield, or a bow and arrows) and switch between them immediately by pressing an appropriate key (either Shift+1 to Shift+4 or '[' and ']'). This makes it a lot easier to use ranged weapons and/or thrown weapons along with more conventional stuff like swords or axes.
There are more UI improvements. You will be able to use the Skills/Spells windows with keyboard only. Those windows will also contain more information for inexperienced players. The Rest window has been adopted for keyboard handling as well, and the available resting options have been tuned up to fit the actual gameplay-influenced needs. Another window that can be now handled entirely without a mouse is the Dialog window. Last, but not least: the Trade window has been significantly enhanced with "intelligent" buttons that show or disappear automatically as needed, so that you always know what to press.
And, of course, there were tons of other, minor improvements and bugfixes, here's the list that covers most of them:
Enjoy the new version!
