Dear unreal-support! I would like to test the Unreal irc 3.1.1 server on FreeBSD OS 4.4. Unfortunately I could not start it at all. I have checkd the DPATH and the SPATH are correct. I have check the "M" line in ircd.conf also loooks correct. The ports what I tried to run on it also are free. What do You think can I run this server on FreeBSD 4.4 at all? Would it be possible before 3.2 goes final, to change the +x mode so that if you are an oper you can still see the users IP/DNS address. Currently you can get this info by doing a /whois on the person in question (if you are an oper) but that seems to add a step to the process. Thanks for any assistance you can give. Robert Keown |

what up... have a question regarding the SVSMODE and similar commands as implemented in Unreal3.1.1-Darkshades -- it's my understanding, or at least all the docs seem to say, that the SVS commands must be "sent through a U:lined server, such as services"... well we went ahead and set up a U:lined server to be linked into our net so that we could have admins use these cmds directly without having to RAW through our services and crash them every time they had a typo. unforunately, the commands don't work like we though they would. we though once you connect to a U:lined server, you could /quote SVSMODE whoever :+i or whatever but none of that seems to be working... can anyone clear up this mess as far as the SVS commands and U:lines ?? thanks. _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com |

We seem to have found a lil bug that id like to know if you are aware = of. We are running 3.1.1 A guest founded a channel called #. This channel does NOT show up in a channel list. Hey, Not sure if this is a known bug or not, but on a fresh install the ircd just coughs up and locks. No error message, nothing written to the logs. Doesnt rehash or restart via the unreal launcher. Any way I can dump the core to send to you guys? Lemme know what you need, Thanks, Nathan |
