Im not sure whats different this time, but the server is running...theres j= ust nothing on the lcd :( the backlight is on. Used this hint From: Phil DeBecker Both the xorg and unichrome drivers require patching in order to enable the LCD. The patch basically is to change via_bios.h and reverse the defines for VIA_DEVICE_LCD and VIA_DEVICE_CRT1, and to change the line that reads =20 tmp =3D VIA_DEVICE_CRT1; /* Default assume color CRT attached */ to=20 tmp =3D VIA_DEVICE_LCD; =20 in xorg this is in via_bios.c, in CVS unichrome it"s via_mode.c. =20 Still wondering why it worked in debian...
