The problem with the new system is that it does not autosize in width, only in height. Hence you have to fix yourself the width and if you set narrow enough you will have the tooltip in column. If this is insufficient, it would be possible to add again the function.

The disadvantage of setting the tooltip width in pixels is that it will only work correctly for codes that yield a single character, provided the characters don't differ too much in width.
As soon as there are codes that yield longer texts (like an addres or so) the tooltip will not be wide enough anymore.
