Nice patch... sorry I didn't review it earlier, I need to add myself on the notification lists for my own projects, hmpf... ;> I'll try to check it out in detail and comment asap... Unfortunately the branching in CVS still didn't work last I checked, but otherwise I'd suggest seeing if you can use it...
