I just started studying/learning PERL and I am more of a Network guy than a programmer. I am a few chapters into 'Elements of Programming with Perl' by Andrew L. Johnson. I read thru' the beginning of some others ('Learning Perl'), but IMHO 'Elements...' is the best starter. http://www.manning.com/Johnson/ After I am done with it I will move onto 'Learning Perl'. Some random reviews I read: http://www.perl.org/books/elements.html http://london.pm.org/reviews/elements_of_prog_perl.html http://books.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=00/01/24/1156247&mode=thread (yes I know slashdot sucks) The book was published in 1999, but that shouldn't affect anything. Again I am a beginner so don't take my opinion as fact. -- trep ----- Original Message ----- From: "Teresa Jeremy" <tj...@eu...> Date: Wed, 18 Jun 2003 18:42:21 -0700 To: "Unattended List" <una...@li...> Subject: [Unattended] Books on Perl > Can anyone suggest any good books on Perl? > Suggestions on other Perl resources are also welcomed? > > Thx > TJ -- ______________________________________________ http://www.linuxmail.org/ Now with e-mail forwarding for only US$5.95/yr Powered by Outblaze |
