Hi Kevin, I'm sorry, I was running 4.7 . Now with 4.8RC4 I can boot, but it seems that it cannot find my server/share. Windows recognizes it, I can ping share "ntinstall". But from the Unattended boot I can only ping the IP, not the name. If I try to ping for instance one laptop on my network I can do it but only if I do: # ping laptop.mycompany.com if I do # ping laptop I do not have a reply, I get an error #ping:bad address 'laptop' if I try with #ping ntinstall.mycompany.com I cannot get a reply either. I can ping from windows or from my Linux server only using # ping laptop I'm using my domain WIN2003 DHCP and DNS. I just added a new linux machine in the network, named "ntinstall.mycompany.com", and added a samba share "install". My windows machines can get to it, but my unattended boot not. Some clue? thanks, VP ________________________________ From: una...@li... [mailto:una...@li...] On Behalf Of kevin Sent: Thursday, June 26, 2008 9:22 PM To: una...@li... You don't say what version you are trying to use. You can try 4.8 RC4. I don't know if there is a newer version available: http://www.mail-archive.com/unattended-devel%40lists.sourceforge.net/msg 01624.html kevin ****************************************************************************************** CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE This e-mail and any attachment are confidential and may be privileged or otherwise protected from disclosure.
