It doesn't seem to work on my system,  64 Bit Windows 7 Home Premium. The installation went fine, but it failed to open any file I tried it with.

Hi, would it be possible to attach the mplayer log so we would be able to debug the problem and fix it?

Microsoft Security Essentials showed 2 adware files on last scan coming from UM player.  I uninstalled.  No thanks

You can relax about Adware. It was certainly a false positive. That said, I uninstalled UMPlayer because it doesn't work on my system. Perhaps you folks borked something with CPU specific optimizations? Being conservative is sometimes the best call. I'd be willing to install a generic i686 package for Windows if you post me a link. BTW, compiled it on my Slack and it works fine.

I uninstalled it because for some reason in one movie displayed the subtitles in Swedish (or something like) despite the .srt - file in the folder contains subtitles in different language. In the onscreen context menu for subtitles were 2 options - SWE and No(or something like). Switching to the second one didn't make difference.
This beside I like this player and will try later with other version…

Only shows the first frame of mp4 video. Sound plays for 2 seconds, then gets into an endless 1 second loop.

Have had no problems, Just uninstalled to install this software’s newest version release.

Having a built in update feature would be much appreciated.

Uninstalled because PotPlayer is a better fit for me. UMPlayer defintely easier out the box but I was missing playlist functionality and probably my fault but didn't see a 'shuffle' feature.

I uninstalled it because it did not let me burn video files on the burner….there was some kind of conflict.

Doesn't work on my 64 bit system either.  In fact it causes the whole system to crash.

Player crash on start  when I dragging file (wmv) in player window to start.

The program wouldnt open any video file that I had on my comp so no sense in tying up valuable space on the HD with a program that does nothing.

Hi. I've had this program installed for a very long time without any issues at all. Today however, I was not able to get any sound either from video files or audio files. Games work fine, other applications work fine. Other media players work fine, but I cannot get anything out of UMPlayer.

Heya Methersos, that's a weird one for sure. All i can think of is a total uninstall, making sure all old files inclu registry are toasted to clear iffy settings,  then reinstall.

A nuisance but should sort it, good luck!
