I have intel imac with OSX Snow Leopard,my dispay goes to sleep or screensaver comes on.
"Dissable Screensaver" in UMplayer's preferences menu doesn't work. Please fix this in next release other than this ussue this is the best media player i ever used even better than vlc.
Im pretty sure its OSX issue because my friend has Leopard on Mac Mini and has same issue.

Also Youtube doesnt work in OSX.I can search for videos but when i double click to play nothing happens.
One more thing, there is significant delay when changing volume. When i change volume it takes a second or two for it to take effect after i move the slider.

Youtube and volume is not big deal but display going to sleep is and keeps me from using it as my main player, please fix when you get a chance.
Thanx, this is the best media player,GREAT WORK.

As far as Youtube is concerned, I, too, have been experiencing exactly the same problem with UMPlayer over the last few days. UMPlayer's Youtube functionality worked perfectly just a few days ago. Currently, the MPlayer log (NOT UMPlayer) shows the following error when attempting to play YouTube files, "Server returned 403: Forbidden". In fact, I'm also having problems playing the majority of Shoutcast streams as well. Strange …

Disregard … YouTube works perfectly OUTSIDE of OSX. I only tested UMPlayer in Linux when I was mentally and physically exhausted. My problem with YouTube was related to my personal use of proxies. Disabling the proxy fixed my issue.  I believe the latest version of UMPlayer  is 0.9.5 for OSX which explains the brokenness of UMPlayer with YouTube. The latest source snapshot of UMPlayer works perfectly with YouTube at least in Linux. I suspect UMPlayer will also work with OSX if compiled with the latest source.

Heya Iviv and google accts. =)

Think TPreitzel has given great advice about making sure your UMPlayer source is up to date, for Shoutcast and YouTube. You yourselves need to sort the display/sleep issue manually tho methinks, UMPlayer can't change those sort of preference settings.

You need to go into your Display/Energy Saver settings and change the sleep function from the 10/15 mins it will be now, to several hours or never. Until you do that, your rig, netbook or whatever's sleep function will kick in when you're not actually doing anything manual for a li'l while.
