No

I have tried ufraw to convert a set of sRAW2 files from a Canon 50D and the rotation is not processed right.
Some of the images should be rotated +90 degrees and others -90 (or 270) degrees while they are not rotated at all when using ufraw-batch with the configuration --rotate=camera. Other softwares such as gqview show them in the right orientation.

Used command:
ufraw-batch --out-depth=16 --out-type=tiff --overwrite --wb=camera --linearity=1.0 --rotate=camera *.cr2

Source Files:
http://porcsenglar.udg.edu/tmp/ufraw/img_0030.cr2 (No rotation)
http://porcsenglar.udg.edu/tmp/ufraw/img_0055.cr2 (Rotated 90 Degrees)
http://porcsenglar.udg.edu/tmp/ufraw/img_0091.cr2 (Rotated 270/-90 Degrees)

Converted Files:
http://porcsenglar.udg.edu/tmp/ufraw/img_0030.tif
http://porcsenglar.udg.edu/tmp/ufraw/img_0055.tif
http://porcsenglar.udg.edu/tmp/ufraw/img_0091.tif

The converted files are not rotated to the right orientation.

I cannot reproduce your problem using the current cvs (development) version of UFRaw. On the contrary even your converted tif files seems to be rotated correctly when I download and display them using gqview or display (from the ImageMagick package) on my system.

What versions of UFRaw and Exiv2 are you using? Which program do you use that does not show the converted images to be rotated?

    Regards,
    Niels Kristian

I still can reproduce the problem using the posted images and these versions of software:
    ufraw-0.16, exiv2-0.19, gqview-2.1.5.

Please try to reproduce the problem with UFRaw 0.18 (or better yet with the current development code checked out from the cvs repository).

    Niels Kristian

I have checked your files again. This time I have used UFRaw 0.18 and the gqview version from Ubuntu 11.04. I can not reproduce your problem neither with your tiff files (screenshots) nor with tiff files generated by ufraw-batch 0.18.

    Regards,
    Niels Kristian

I've tried the ufraw-0.18 and gqview-2.1.5. Still the same result.
The following screenshot shows the difference between seeing the .cr2 and the converted tiff using gqview:

Thanks. Your screenshot cleared it up for me. Your version of gqview does not rotate the embedded thumbnail from the cr2 file as it should (is jpegtran installed on your system?). The tiff generated by ufraw is displayed correctly (rotated 90 degrees).

I have attached a screenshot that shows the same two files on my system using geeqie (a newer version of gqview).

    Niels Kristian

    CR2 and TIFF files side-by-side.

You are right. I've installed geeqie and it works great.
    I've jpegtran:
    $ jpegtran -v
