solved! When I got to the enter the pin window the first time in tw-mode, I first copied the url at the location using speakup's clipboard then backgrounded emacs with control-z. The lynx browser wouldn't work on the authorization page, but elinks did. I hit downarrow until I got into user name or email field then hit enter. I keyed in my email address then hit downarrow once to land on password. I hit enter on password then keyed in my password and then hit enter. I got authorization for tw-mode and got a pin which I copied to the speakup clipboard again. I quit elinks and hit fg to foreground emacs again then pasted my pin from the speakup clipboard and hit enter and heard success and hit enter to update and when I did that other tweets started appearing on my screen. The version of tw-mode I did this with is in the arch user repository and it's the git version. I think I had problems with the non-git version the last time I tried this and the git version is something like 3.35 and I think the non-git version is something like 2.12. I may not have done this the officially approved way but then again I need speakup since I can't see the screen attached to my computer so between speakup and emacs and this version of tw-mode all of this became possible. -- |
