I found a site with an irc channel on it of irc.freenode.net/masterpassword. That site has a terminal version of source code for masterpassword on it which so far as I can tell: 1) is non-standard to the extreme neither documentation nor configure file nor Makefile is in that package, 2) the install script asks for a bin directory in which to install the package: using sudo -H I was able to run the script and hit enter on /usr/local/bin, then the cannot stat mpw error came up and the install script bailed out and failed. I am using talkingarch distro since I'm totally blind and listen to speech coming out of speakers connected to my sound card and no, I don't do g.u.i. I had g.u.i. shoved down my throat by my former employer for about the last 18 years and didn't like that environment or the screen readers used for it from day 1. The masterpassword site I found was the first hit that came up on google with a search of linux master_password OR master-password. Is that the masterpassword twmode needs to finish setting up with twitter in terms of the encryption step? Many other results came up on that search and I find this an intriguing concept if the source code would only build. I have arch-dev packages installed on this machine since this wasn't the first 3rd-party package I've installed or the first 3rd-party package that failed to install either. This whole encryption step comes after twmode authorization with twitter and I think happens since I put the masterpassword variable in my .emacs file earlier. So far I haven't yet checked list-packages with emacs yet but do have elpa, melpa and marmellade repositories available to me. If masterpassword is available on one of those repositories, it would make sense to have it made a dependency of twmode. -- |
