Hello: I'm new to using twittering-mode in GNU Emacs. Trying to switch to it from TwIt.el as it stopped working because Twitter switched to OAuth authentication. I've seen on the EmacsWiki page of twittering mode that for it to work now, you need to use the git checkout and from the brief instructions on setting up GNU Emacs I understand it should give you some web link to open in a web browser to authenticate for the first time. Is this so? Well, when running `M-x twit' I just get “Authorization via OAuth failed. Type M-x twit to retry.” in the minibuffer, and an empty :home buffer. No link nothing. What am I supposed to do? Install some certificates somehow or how to get it to authenticate? Thanks for your help. -- JJ |
