Announcement: TWiki-6.0.1 Released - Better Usability & App Platform

TWiki-6.0.1 is released, shipped through the virtual door! This is a patch release that brings a number of usability enhancements, such as drag & drop file attachments, and strengthens TWiki as an application platform. The release also fixes a number of bugs, including SecurityAlert-CVE-2014-7236 and SecurityAlert-CVE-2014-7237.

The new release can be downloaded from TWiki.org and SourceForge.net. The TWiki-VM has been updated as well, which is a virtual machine in Open Virtualization Format (OVF) for use in VMware, VirtualBox, Oracle VM and other virtualization environments.... read more

TWiki.org Announces TWiki-5.1.4: Get. Work. Done.

The open source TWiki community just released TWiki-5.1.4. It can be downloaded immediately from TWiki.org and SourceForge.net. The TWiki-VM, a VMware based virtual machine has been updated as well.

This latest patch release fixes a number of bugs and has some incremental enhancements. Most importantly, it incorporates a fix for the Security Alert CVE-2013-1751, where the MAKETEXT variable allowed arbitrary shell command execution using the tilde (~) character. TWiki-5.1.3 Released: Usable. Fun. Powerful.

The open source TWiki community just released TWiki-5.1.3. It can be downloaded immediately from TWiki.org and SourceForge.net. The TWiki-VM, a VMware based virtual machine has been updated as well. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to this release!

This release supersedes earlier TWiki-5.1 releases, which introduced many usability enhancements, such as point and click user data management, more visual user profile pages with picture selector, and a backup feature to help upgrade TWiki sites. Enterprise TWiki 4.3.1 Release Available

TWiki-4.3.1 is a patch release that fixes the security issue CVE-2009-1339 - CSRF vulnerability with image tag, changes date display to ISO format by default, and fixes a number of bugs.

TWiki-4.3 (code named Georgetown) introduces security enhancements, usability enhancements, feature enhancements, and adds extensions to strengthen TWiki as an enterprise collaboration platform.

TWiki New Production Release

Changes since the last production release:

* Statistics about usage and contributions. This can be used for an incentive program to give your collaborations a jump-start, i.e. to elect a "contributor of the month".
* Inline search using %SEARCH{"str" ...}% variable.
* Preferences like edit box size can be set by editing topics. There are site-level, web-level and user-level preferences.
* Better security with taint checking (perl -T option).
* Uploading a file (e.g. attaching a file to a topic) will optionally create a link to the uploaded file at the end of the topic, or show the image inline for JPG and GIF files.
* Some other minor changes.
