Hi, Two issues I see today: 1. SSL configuration is missing the chain of certificates, which breaks download of packages using perl installers such as "perl -I Foobar_installer" (perl HTTPS client on RHEL8 doesn't fetch intermediate certificates automatically). You can see this with 'openssl s_client -showcerts -connect twiki.org:443' and you should see all the intermediates and the subject cert, but you only get the subject cert. 2. The plugin web isn't working for me, I get a redirection problem in my browser attempting to visit https://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Plugins/WebHome Looking at it with curl, this URL: https://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Plugins/WebHome says that it has moved to: https://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Plugins/WebHome (the same URL) -- Regards, John Kohl (he/him/his) Senior Software Architect – HCL Software *Please note new e-mail address: joh...@hc... <joh...@hc...>* hcl-software.com On Mon, Apr 29, 2024 at 3:32 PM Peter Thoeny <pe...@th...> wrote: > All: > > TWiki.org is back! All: TWiki.org <http://twiki.org/> is back! Please report any issues you might find. The restore of develop.twiki.org <http://develop.twiki.org/> server and svn is pending. All: Update on the TWiki.org <http://twiki.org/> saga: Today I finally got hold of the TWik.org <http://twik.org/> data. The small hosting provider hosting the site passed away last week from cancer. While alive we texted back and forth, and he promised to ressurect the servers, but understandably he never got to it. Cancer sucks. His daughter provided me access today. I transferred the data to a new server in GCP, and am in the process of configuring the new server, and restoring the services. Please give me some more time to restore everything. I’ll update when we are back.I am sorry for the delay and inconvenience. Hi John at al, I am sorry for the delay and inconvenience. The restore of the website is much slower than anticipated. The main reason is that the small website provider is very sick, and in and out of the hospital. He is the only person who has access to the VMs. I have plans to move TWiki.org to GCP once I have the data (the backup is also with the provider.) In the meantime you can use the web archive to browse TWiki.org <http://twiki.org/> content: https://web.archive.org/web/20240301220729/https://www.twiki.org/ You can also download plugins from the archive. Hi Hideyo-san at al, Lots of flexibility with the Google cloud, all point and click. You can chose to deploy a VM from a number of OSes: Even Windooz: Example options for CentOS: CentOS comes with LAMP stack. I deployed CentOS Streams 9, and have TWiki already running. You can deploy a container to a VM instance by using a container-optimized OS image. In the past my goto cloud provider was AWS, now it is the Google cloud. All: You might have noticed many commit activities recently. I updated the core code and all core extensions for 2021 copyright. I also noticed and fixed some code inconsistencies between trunk and 6.1 branch (except for new 6.2 features.) With this in place and a stable trunk, I think we are now in a good position to release TWiki-6.2. It has been a while since the last release. What release date should we plan for? On another note, are you ready for a regex challenge?
