Hi,
after a long silence, we're back to provide you our new software : tuxpop. It is still an alpha release but it should work really fine for reception. Tuxpop is not yet a daemon but a shell popup receiver.

We are currently working on sending functions.
GTuxPop is also on the right way and is going to be our first client for tuxpop.
As soon as interprocess communication works fine we'll give you something really great.... read more

A german translation of ktuxpop 1.2 has been made by Hermann-Josef Beckers and is now available for download.
It is also included in ktuxpop-1.2.tar.bz2

Due to SF problems, i have moved our website to http://tuxpop.tuxfamily.org
(On SF server, i am not able to delete my own files, so no updates are possible here and php scripts does not work anymore)

KTuxPop 1.2 - RC seems to be alright for everyone
so i will probably release the 'first' stable version of ktuxpop probably tonight or tomorrow
i'm looking for packagers since i am not a packager ;)
any help will be greatly appreciated

Tuxpop daemon has well progressed, but it is not yet usable for daily use (sending functions are not yet implemented)
but receiving seems to be ok ;o)
aliasing system is now nearly ready to work and multiuser support just needs one more function to work ...
it should not be too long from now i think
Gregory has started his work on gtuxpop and has designed a new website for tuxpop (and it is _really_ great). The site should be up in the next days i hope.
I have also started my first works on ktuxpop2 (i'm just trying to find a good look for it) (not on cvs)... read more

First, happy new year :)
KTuxPop 1.2 (RC, yes, but really stable) is finally here. (CVS tag is KTUXPOP-1_2-RC)
I do not think it can crash anymore.
Final packages should be available in the next weeks
Development for kde1.1 is now terminated i think
From now, i'll spend my time on Tuxpop (available on CVS)...

i have been really busy for the last two months,
but now there are some good news :)

->cvs for tuxpop daemon and ktuxpop2 is going to be activated as i have now a direct internet connection.
what is this daemon ?
actually, GUIs will connect to it to send and receive popups.

->first alpha-beta versions of tuxpop daemon should come during the next 2-3 weeks

i'm still working on ktuxpop (kde1.1.x) , it should be finalized soon i think.
Gregory and me are working on a tuxpop daemon which will allow us to create GUIs more easily :)

1.2 beta 3 just uploaded on SF.
the first installation is easyer, you can configure your netbios name (which may be different from your hostname i used in the past),workgroup, and broadcast adress.
we found a bug when compiling on slackware ... i am about to correct it and i'm going to add security options for allowing non-root users to use tuxpop. Next release should be a pre-stable version of ktuxpop 1.2 :o)

It is easy to say : everything should work now
Of course, i'm waiting for some bugs but all functionnalities should work : private,groups,all popups sending and receiving
i debugged alias functions which now work fine :)
you can also send and receive to aliases

KTuxPop 1.2 beta 1 will be released in one or two days.
