Apparently SourceForge tosses file attachments? Does anybody have a copy of this message or fullscreen patch? The "two joystick patch" submitted the day before and archived at http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=10929512 would also be appreciated. I am not sure what you mean by add-in daemon. Here is basically what I am saying. For freebsd 5.3 let's say I boot-up the machine and then plug-in the=20 usb gamepad to my laptop. Freebsd detects this device and assigns it a device node /dev/uhid0. Under freebsd 4.x you had to make all your device nodes with a special MAKEDEV script. I would assume since this is a usb device that the usb daemon would have to hand off information to whatever application=20 (tuxnes) wants to use or tuxnes might be trying to pull from somewhere else maybe X - just don't know on this. Tuxnes, I have two X-Pad controllers connected to my PC. At first this did not work with tuxnes. Tuxnes recognized both controllers, but movement on one controller effected the other player. This turned out to be a small bug within tuxnes's joystick handling routines. I have fixed this bug and attached a patch. The patch also corrects two minor memory accesses bugs reported by valgrind. There has not been a release of tuxnes since 2001. I think this patch warrants a new release, because with out it, users cannot play with two joystick or game controllers. Because of the nature of the bug, it will affect any pair of controllers or joysticks. I would be glad to create the release or help in doing so. BTW: 2 X-Pads + NES ROMS + Linux + TuxNES = Loads of fun Regards, Joseph Coffland |
