I'm using cygwin in Windows XP. make is not working with tuxkart. Please let me know what to do. Hello, I downloaded tuxkart (I have plib 1.8.4 installed) and tried to compile on Mac OS 10.3.9. Some files compiled but gfx.cxx failed as it required sys/io.h and sys/perm.h. I commented out the lines that used functions from those files (testing stereo?) After triing to compile the 2nd time gfx.cxx compiled fine, but then got a macro error with a call to ff (only takes one argument and it's given two?) in gui.cxx. So I commented out the "default font" loading code and continued. The third compile resulted in linking errors as it was trying to link X11 etc and missing some frameworks needed. I edited the makefile and removed -lX11 etc and added: -framework Carbon -framework IOKit -framework AGL -framework OpenGL -framework GLUT This seemed to work and everything compiled fine. Now when I run the program the intro screen comes up as expected but when I go to "Start Game" I get either a bus error and/or segfault. Hi i am sorry i need to ask for your help again but i am having trouble getting tuxkart-0.4.0 to run. i did a 'make install' of plib-1.8.4 which seems to have gone well. what command do i use to start tuxkart? typing src/tuxkart results with 'no such file or directory.' src/tuxkart-0.4.0 yeilds the same. i am sure i am missing something here but i just don't know what it is as i am fairly new to this. i recently installed cube and it runs fine. i really want to get txkart up and running as it appears to be a fun game and i would like to try others. anyhelp is help. thanks clair mcnutt ___________________________________________________________________ Speed up your surfing with Juno SpeedBand. PLIB needs to be installed ('make install') - it goes into /usr/include/plib and /usr/lib
Tuxkart can be run from where ever you build it - you just do 'make' and not bother with
'make install'. From the main TuxKart directory, just run 'src/tuxkart' and it should
be OK.

Hi. Just downloaded and installed tuxcart. Everything seemed ok, but when I clicked on play game, the carts went through the floor. I'm using fedora core 3. It said something about virtual loading on the command line when I quit the game. |

I've tuxkart installed on MANY 10, but when my kids wan't to play it there is no sound. My souncard is a i810 with the oss sounddriver. When i pick the alsa soundriver i hear sound but my keyboard goes crazy. If i installed tuxkart on SUSE 9.1 it works perfectly. What is the problem. Willie |

Well, you didn't install development stuff! Just go to the package manager= =20 and install all that stuff from there. You could also try to find a Fedore ready package (RPM) on the web. But yo= u=20 still have to install the Plib library and maybe other things. Hi. I have troubles installing TuxKart on Fedora Core 2. Here's the message
I get when I type "./configure":

Hello, I'm Spanish, so it's possible that I make a mistake. I think I've found a bug in the "Olivers Math Class" track. When I pass over the paper plane, my kart falls in the hole between the two wings, and then, it reappears in a blue place for a few seconds. After that, the race continues normally.
