Is it possible to do this refreshing automatic. Example: i am in /media dir, i plug usb stick and i don't see it until i do refresh or i enter some other dir and get back to /media dir

Have you tried the tab Experimental in the Preferences ? There is a box called Refresh the panel with the focus…
