This makes tux look a bit more graceful when he jumps. hmm... Yes - sorry. TuxAQFH was written in the age of Voodoo-1 cards and 266MHz CPU's. Since it was my first 3D computer game, I didn't take the time to consider the future. I was so happy to see Tux running at 15Hz that I didn't consider the possibility that he might one day be running on 1GHz CPU's with GeForce cards. Anyway, until I get the chance to go back and "do it right" - your fix is a good one. To get the right timings though, I recommend usleep(16000) - which will bring the frame rate back into the 30 -> 60Hz range. We have a new version of PLIB coming out soon (June 22nd) and all my games will be revamped to match that release. I'll put a better fix for this problem in when I do that. ----------------------------- Steve Baker ------------------------------- HomeMail : <sjb...@ai...> WorkMail: <sj...@li...> HomePage : http://web2.airmail.net/sjbaker1 Projects : http://plib.sf.net http://tuxaqfh.sf.net http://tuxkart.sf.net http://agtoys.sf.net http://prettypoly.sf.net http://freeglut.sf.net http://toobular.sf.net |
