Is this project still alive or is abandoned?

The most recent release is from 2003. While Turck
MM-Cache still compiles with PHP 4.3.10 and 4.3.11, I
recently found that in the case of a complex web
application I have, the output of the encoded scripts is
different than the output of non-encoded scripts, for the
same input parameters (scripts involves MySQL
connections). so is this project still alive or I must use a
commercial alternative? Thanks

You must certainly not. mmcache isn't maintained anymore,
but eaccelerator is an active for of mmcache. It started
were mmcache stopped. We're preparing a next release one of
these days. http://www.eaccelerator.net
