This is the first release in the 1.8 line for tsocks and along with some general fixes introduces the ability to specify SOCKS servers to be used for connections based on the destination port. This can be useful in situations where one SOCKS server accesses a high cost link and another accesses a low cost link.
Version 1.7 of tsocks has now been released following a rather lengthy beta period in which no bugs were found.
1.7 is a MAJOR upgrade from 1.6, all users are advised to upgrade as soon as possible. Version 1.6 is no longer in any way supported.
1.7 Beta 3 of tsocks has been realeased. This version is a major upgrade to tsocks, highlights include:
- Improved documentation
- Ability to specify multiple SOCKS servers to be used to access different networks
- Compilation issues on Redhat 7 fixed
- Ability to specify hostnames for SOCKS servers instead of ip addresses
- More enhancements than you can poke a stick at.
