In Daily timesheet list project names are not correct,
random project name is shown instead. When choosing
Details correct name is shown and hours are correct.
Projects have no specific task defined, using Default Task.
This is a problem I'm having here as well. I looked at the
demo on the advancen site and they seem to have the same
problem.
When I go into a specific day (lets say Jan 5) and I put in
a client, project and task- then submit before adding
another, but different client, project and task... The
results I get are just a duplicate of the first client and
project. In some cases, I've put in a client and a project
just to have it disappear all together. I was going to look
at the code and try to rig something, but I was wondering if
there was an official fix anywhere.

I am also running into the issue on this end. What I am
seeing is that when you enter in a task it putting into
the "timesheet_times" table the correct project ID but the
task ID is incorrect. It is pulling the task ID of the item that
was entered prior.
Any assistance you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks much.

There is a fix for this on the way (its in CVS if you're
eager). This happened if you clicked submit before waiting
from the task droplist to reload. The fix uses javascript to
repopulate these lists so theres no waiting for the page to
load and the problem disappears.

I grabbed the updated daily.php from CVS, but am still running
into the issue. Here is what I have figured out by testing
this. You go in and select your Client, your Project and your
task and enter in your time and save it records that entry.
Now if you go in change the Client, Project, and the task to
another item it will properly record the time with the correct
task identified. The issue comes in where you go in choose
another project and when you do that the task field updates
visually so that you see the name of the task for the project
you just selected. Now if the task name that you want to
select happens to be the first one at the top of the list and
you do not go in, click on a different task, and then back on
the one at the top it will not properly display or record the
correct task ID in the task_times table. It will record the task
ID of the previous task. Now if you do click on another entry
in the drop down and then back to the one on the top, then
it records properly. Otherwise it defaults to incorrect task. I
know some others had said that it was arbitrary, but it is
really not. It is pretty easy to reproduce and I can send you
over screenshots of both the front end and what is happening
and then also the back end data. Let me know if this would
be helpful or if the verbal description is enough. I really
noticed the true issue with this because I had a project set
up called lunch for our hourly employees. It only had the task
of lunch and so as a result a refresh was never forced (the
text in the drop down changes, but somewhere the previous
task ID is being stored). I kept having issues with that one
particular task. I moved around the way the drop down is set
up so that now there is a dummy task that is the first in the
list and then the lunch task is below that. This forces the
user to each time refresh that drop down manually and it
causes the information to record properly. Any assistance
you can give would be greatly appreciated. I tested this with
the new CVS file that I grabbed this morning and still see the
issue as noted above. I then went in and changed daily.php
back to the one that came in the packaged distro and did the
same tests. The issue is the same in the initial file. Please
let me know if there is anything I can do or any additional
detail I can provide.

I've followed the steps you described but I still can't
reproduce the problem. Can you please make sure you have the
latest daily.php and client_proj_task_javascript.inc from
CVS and then send me screenshots.
What browser and version on what operating system? Please
describe the server environment too.
Cheers,
Dominic

I did not have client_proj_task_javascript.inc in there,
that was totally my fault. I will test first thing in the
AM when I get into the office. Thanks a bunch.
